For a less populated, mostly rural island... we have a number of grocery store options for you. Please keep in mind, every product coming to the island either has to come via the ferry (expensive for semis) or from across the Deception Pass bridge to the north. As a result, food can be a little more expensive here than on the mainland, but often not by that much.

This list does not include gas station convenience stores as they have their own page. Most of those also offer a small selection of grocery items.

As with the other pages, this listing starts at the Clinton Ferry terminal and travels mostly to the north.

A larger grocery store with a hot case deli. Located in a strip mall, right on the highway, with other offerings including Patron Mexican restaurant, Sprinklz ice cream, Jim's Hardware, Critter's & Co pet store, Good Cheer Thrift store, Pickles Deli, and Bagel Factory. Whidbey Coffee drive-up in the parking lot.

A medium sized grocery store with good variety, a hot case deli in the back, a big selection of cold drinks, and often food served out front too. Situated in a strip mall that also includes Sebos hardware, Casey's art & craft supply store, and Jesters Keep game store (D&D, etc.)

Larger grocery store and the most modern on the south end. Always very clean. Good selection, including many organic options. Wine & Spirits department. Located in a mini-mall that includes Rite Aid, Ace Hardware, Lind's department store & gifts, and a floral shop. Whidbey Coffee drive-up in the parking lot.

While the historic Greenbank Store is being completely renovated, the family operates the Pantry & Deli next to it. This is a cute little store, offering a sampling of basic needs. There is also a sandwich deli that offers fresh baked goods.
